Come and enjoy a sport that’s accessible for everyone. It doesn’t matter whether you are young or getting slightly past your prime (our youngest member is 19 and our oldest is over 80) or whether you are male or female. Everyone can learn to play short mat bowls and enjoy a fun social activity with a group of friendly people.
The club meets in the Village Hall every Tuesday evening from 7.00 to 9.30 pm. New players are welcome. No experience or equipment is necessary. Just come as you are and we will show you the ropes.
For those with a competitive streak, the club runs two teams, the Netherbury Berries and the Netherbury Brits, who play against clubs from other villages in the area in the district league and in friendly matches, mainly on Friday evenings.
We are a social bunch. Club nights always finish with tea or coffee and biscuits and we celebrate member’s birthdays with wine and cake.
